Detik Rasulullah SAW

Wafatnya adalah

Kehidupan Sejatinya

Wahai orang yang berakal, adakah kehidupan Allah akan berakhir? Adakah hubungan dengan Allah akan menemui titik penghabisan? Hubungan dengan Ar-Rafiqul A’la itu sesungguhnya merupakan kehidupan itu sendiri.

Dalam haji wada’nya (haji perpisahan), Rasulullah SAW berkhutbah di hadapan sekitar 120.000 orang, “Wahai manusia, dengar dan perhatikanlah, sesungguhnya aku tidak akan bertemu lagi dengan kalian selepas tahun ini.”

Semuanya terdiam, sambil mendengarkan kata demi kata yang diucapkan Rasulullah SAW.

Beliau menasihati dan berwasiat kepada mereka tentang keterikatan mereka dengan Tuhan dan agama mereka. Ketika itu Allah menurunkan ayat, “Pada hari ini telah Ku-sempurnakan untuk kalian agama kalian, Aku sempurnakan nikmat-Ku atas kalian, dan Aku ridha Islam menjadi agama kalian.”

Allah menghidupkan makna kehidupan yang dahsyat di tengah-tengah mereka, dalam suasana perpisahan dengan Rasulullah SAW. Saat itu, perpisahan dengan beliau adalah sebuah sisi kehidupan bagi umatnya setelah itu. Kemudian Rasulullah SAW pun pulang ke kota Madinah.

Bulan Rabi’ul Awwal tiba.

Di awal bulan itu, tubuh Rasulullah SAW terasa lemah. Beliau terserang sakit demam. Tubuhnya pun disirami air sejuk. Beliau bersabda, “Siramilah aku dengan air supaya aku dapat keluar untuk mengucapkan salam perpisahan dengan para sahabatku.”

Baginda pun disirami air itu, yang membuat tubuhnya terasa lebih segar.

Kemudian beliau keluar rumah, melangkahkan kakinya dengan diiringi kedua sepupunya, Ali bin Abu Thalib dan Fadhl bin Abbas, radhiyallahu ‘anhuma.

Beliau menemui para sahabat.

Saat melihat hadirnya Rasulullah SAW di tengah-tengah mereka, tampak betapa kegembiraan menyemburat dari wajah para sahabat.

Kemudian Rasulullah SAW duduk di atas mimbarnya.

Para sahabat terdiam, bersiap untuk mendengarkan segala apa yang akan diucapkan Rasulullah SAW.

Rasulullah SAW pun berkhutbah, khutbah perpisahan. Beliau bersabda, “Seseorang telah diberi pilihan, antara kehidupan di dunia atau menjumpai Ar-Rafiqul A’la (“Sahabat Teragung”, Allah SWT).”

Rasulullah SAW pun kemudian mengulang-ulang kata itu, “Ar-Rafiqul A’la, Ar-Rafiqul A’la, Ar-Rafiqul A’la…”

Wahai orang yang berakal, adakah kehidupan Allah akan berakhir? Adakah hubungan dengan Allah akan menemui titik penghabisan? Hubungan dengan Ar-Rafiqul A’la itu sesungguhnya merupakan kehidupan itu sendiri. Ucapan Rasulullah SAW itu menandakan bahwa ia memilih kehidupan yang sejati.

Bagaimana para sahabat dan keluarga Nabi menyikapi perpisahan dengan manusia yang paling mereka cintai itu? Apa saja wasiat-wasiat Rasulullah SAW, apa pesan terakhir beliau?
